If I only knew how cute this would turn out to be, I could have made this skort ages ago. The muppet looks like she’s wearing a skirt but underneath is a matching shorts. Perfect for the girl who is obsessed with skirts but loves to climb and jump and slide at the playground! The pattern is Badminton Skort by Oliver + S, and it was a treat to construct it. I followed the very clear and excellent instructions and the result was a lovely skort that muppet really likes to wear. I love the thick flat front waistband, the sweet scalloped hem, the elasticized back waistband (which reminds me of the Everyday skirt), and the very clever shorts. The seams were all overlocked and the insides look nice and neat. I made it in size 4 without modifications. The fabric by the way is from Sarah Jane’s Out to sea called Sea Flowers in blossom and it is so pretty. I got it from Pink Door Fabrics about a year ago, and now I regret just getting a yard of it. I’m in love with this pattern and I’m seriously planning on making at least 4 more skorts.
